I started Bootcamp with Megan at Krunch Bootcamp at the end of February 2010 with a singular goal in mind. To look like a goddess when I renewed my Wedding Vows in Las Vegas in July 2010.
I quickly became hooked on feeling energised and being in like minded encouraging company as we toiled away at our fitness. By the time we arrived in Las Vegas in June I had lost 5kg but even better a total of 30.5 centimetres from various problem spots of my body!
Thank you Megan, it has been worth every minute! Now onto my next fitness goal!

12 months ago, I was unfit, overweight and in pain from my rheumatoid arthritis.
I decided to try out boot camp to see if losing weight would help my range of movement and pain levels. I can tell you that it was one of the best life changing decisions I’ve ever made! Megan was understanding of my concerns and pain levels, but would push me to do more than I thought I could. It was hard, tiring and sometimes seemed like too much effort, but Megan was always there, pushing me along, encouraging me to do more, not to mention helping me to believe in myself. I started to lose the weight, and became fitter by the day.
Then I noticed that my pain levels and joint swelling began to reduce, my clothes didn’t fit and my endurance was increasing.
12 months ago, I was unfit, overweight and in pain; since starting with Megan in April 2008 I’ve completed the mothers day classic fun run, the City to Surf (running all the way) & the Sydney to Gong bike ride. In May this year I competed in the mother’s day classic for the 2nd time bettering my time by more than 25 minutes. I also completed my first half-marathon and joined a local triathlon club.
I have not looked back. I can’t thank Megan enough for helping me change the way I see myself and giving me the courage to know I can really do this not only today but for the rest of my life.
I’ve now lost over 28kg and gained more confidence than ever thought possible.
I highly recommend Megan to everyone, she was just what I needed and I cannot thank her enough for her advice and training methods, that really do work.

I was tired, lazy, could feel the kilos creeping on and my fitness was zero. So 2 months ago I decided to join Krunch Bootcamp with Megan. Since joining KRUNCH I have felt a great improvement in my attitude to life, work, eating and my health. , I can run 2km with NO stitch and a little breathless (In my best time). Megan is dedicated to her members and gives a variety of sessions to suit everyone. Megan will push you to your limits, will encourage you. Megan is there to help, listen and motivate you through your session. I enjoy each of my sessions. I have achieved my first goal of improving my fitness. I feel positive that I will be able to reach my future goals!!!

My reason to participate in the 8 week challenge was to maintain my motivation levels up. I needed the challenge as motivation has always been something that I have failed at in the past. Failing to not have self motivation has previosuly led to bad habits and bad choices for my health.
I achieved to loose a few kilos but I am more proud of gaining that further confidence and motivation to keep going with this new change of lifestyle. I was able to do this with self determination and believing that I can do this even though I deal with an injury, which can be extremely frustrating at times.

Today was the “final” fit test of the challenge, and I achieved every single one of my goals! Not only did I get 5 x pushups off my toes, I did 20! I jogged the whole running course in under 13 minutes – no stopping! (I couldn‟t even walk it without a rest 8 weeks ago), and my knees feel great! My fitness age has come down 5 years, I have lost around 4 –ish kg & I can see my abs starting to show!

Over the 8 weeks, I’d progressed from doing push ups on my knees to doing them on my toes, my body shape started to get toned and my overall fitness improved. My diet was my biggest hurdle, as I was unaware that I was overloading on carbs. Making changes to my diet and getting advice on substitutions is what helped me to make better choices. I haven’t crossed the finish line yet, this is just the beginning. But every step I take forward from here is a step closer to reaching my goal of being my best. I want to thank Megan for her dedication and support throughout the 8 weeks, sometimes that little extra push was what I needed. I’d also like to thank my fellow bootcampers, whose support has shown me that anything is possible.

When I started with Krunch a lap around Parramatta Park without stopping was inconceivable 3 months ago. Then there was the morning I was sent for 2 full laps. First lap. No problem… and I enjoyed doing it! Are you kidding me? How did that happen? Thankfully there are no photos of the stupid grin on my face as I made it in from the second lap. That was an “Ah-ha” moment! Something was happening. This bootcamp stuff IS actually making a difference!

In the begginning I weighed around 97.5 to 98 kg, I was somewhat concerned about this overweight, out of condition ‘old fart’ joining this young fit, enthusiastic group of people. I rang and Megan’s words gave me hope, I joined and that has been the best decision I have made for some time. I eat much better, I can complete my training sessions, I feel great and my wife says I’m looking ‘hot’, but she’s biased. Finally, how can you enjoy life? Look fit and healthy, play sport, go bush walking, ride a bike, play with your children or grand children, go dancing or ‘romancing’?

Yes I’d like to thank Megan and the whole Krunch crew because you have all helped me on my journey. Whether it be Megan getting tough (I love it!!) or fellow Krunchers egging me on (or me trying to chase you down) its all been great.
